Average Lead Times
On average, orders are completed within 2-3 weeks from the day we receive your ashes. Gold items typically take a little longer, around 4 weeks, as every gold item must be officially hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office — a legal requirement for all gold jewellery in the UK.
If you have a special date in mind, please let us know when you order. We'll do our best to meet your request, wherever possible.
Order Steps
Throughout the process, we'll keep you updated with email notifications at each key stage:
- Step 1 - Ashes Received:
As soon as your ashes arrive safely at our studio, we'll send you an email confirmation. We then process the ashes ready for the glass gemstone to be made
- Step 2 - Mount Being Made:
Once the ashes have been processed, we then organise the precious metal mount to be made. Typical it takes 2-3 weeks to complete your order from this notification.
- Step 3 - Glass Being Made:
Whilst the mount is being made, we then organise the glass stone to be produced. Typically it takes 1-2 weeks to complete your order from this notification.
- Step 4 - Hallmarking:
If your order includes gold jewellery, it will be sent to the Birmingham Assay Office for hallmarking. This step usually takes an additional 3–5 days.
- Step 5 - Dispatch & Delivery:
Once your jewellery has been completed and passed our final quality checks, you'll receive an email confirming dispatch. We ship all orders by Royal Mail Tracked 24. On the day of delivery, you'll receive an email with a time window and the option to reschedule or collect from your local Post Office. For discretion, all parcels are sent in plain packaging.
